Feedback/Revisions

Overall, the feedback was good. There were minor issues with the magazine such as some white space, lack of photo variety, and needing to justify the text. For the magazine, the plan is to add photos in the table of contents of different sports such as basketball or other sports in general. Also, the pages as a whole may need to be redone, but maintain the exact same design. This is because in the process of making the magazine, the pages were exported at different resolutions, making some pages have a lower quality look than the others. The cover needs more text or better use of space since there is a large gap in the middle, so that page will be edited. Another important change that may occur is a change in the title. The magazine is targeting specifically one school, which does not open the viewing to many people other than those who attend Sarasota High School. Use of Conventions/Social Groups

'Sota Sports' utilizes many of the conventions used in sports magazines. The main concepts and layouts used in this magazine were based on Sports Illustrated, since they are a renown sports magazine that have a very clear message and style that screams sports. For instance, the cover. On our cover, the Onky font was used because it was similar to that of a sports team name font or jersey number. This helped to make it clear that it was a sports magazine, versus using say calligraphy which would not give off this effect. Then pictures of the sport or athlete is used as the cover photo, so a picture of a soccer player was used in order to show that the magazine edition is about soccer. Even the table of contents derived some of its characteristics from The magazine itself is also targeted to certain groups of people. Since it is based around high school sports, students attending local schools are most likely to view them. Also, alumni of the schools, teachers, coaches, even recr
